Types of SEW Eurodrive Gear Motors
Combination options for the SEW Eurodrive gearmotor are varied and broad according to their possible use. The goal of a modular system is to be able to combine as few components as possible into as many final products as possible.
Eurodrive SEW gearmotors are categorized into several types of gearmotors, namely standard gearmotors, servo gearmotors, electrified monorail system gearmotors, variable speed gearmotors, stainless steel gearmotors and explosion proof gearmotors.
1. Standard Gearmotor
This type of gearmotor features an impressive range of types, ideal graduations in a wide range of sizes, and the widest variety of designs. This makes standard gear motors an important "heavy-duty drive" especially suited for production and logistics. Depending on the pass rate of the gear unit, these gear motors can achieve high torques of up to 50,000 Nm.
2. Servo Gearmotor
Power, speed and precision are the main features of a servo gearmotor. Garmotor servo is ideal which can be used for every need tailored to your application and requirements.
You can also create versatile combinations with standard gear unit gears and servomotor gear motors to configure and optimize individual drives in your factory.
3. Variable Speed Gearmotor
For applications where drive speed must be adjusted smoothly, the Eurodrive SEW Variable Speed Gearmotor is ideal for use. Type of requirement: for simple conveyor belts or agitators, for example, with continuous speed levels that must be adjusted according to different process sequences. Speed can be adjusted seamlessly using either the handwheel or remote control.
4. Stainless Steel Gear Motor
For applications in "cleaning intensive hygiene" areas, the gearmotor must be resistant to the chemicals used and moisture. The SEW Eurodrive stainless steel gearmotor is acid and alkaline resistant which is designed for this purpose. Its surface, optimized for cleaning and fanless design ensures that no dirt gets stuck in any recesses. And you have nothing to lose in terms of power. This gearmotor is very strong, durable, easy to maintain and does not take up much space, especially in the helical bevel gear unit.
5. Explosion Proof Gearmotor
The majority of standard gearmotors and SEW Eurodrive servo gearmotors are available as explosion proof gearmotors that comply with local regulations worldwide. This gearmotor is therefore robust and safe which provides the high performance required even in potentially explosive atmospheres with a mixture of air and gas or air and dust.
